On July 17, the National Data Administration announced the list of pilot projects for trusted data space innovation and development in 2025, and CSG made the cut. CSG's application for its Southern Energy Industry Trusted Data Space was selected as the only unit in the energy sector for the national pilot projects.
A trusted data space is a foundational type of infrastructure for sharing and utilizing data resources, connecting multiple parties based on consensus rules. It serves as a crucial carrier to support the construction of a nationwide integrated data market.
The pilot program was organized by the National Data Administration. It aims to create a number of trusted data spaces that are rich in resources, innovative in applications, prosperous in their ecosystem and significant in results – forming data spaces that can be promoted and replicated elsewhere in the country.
CSG initiated the construction of the Southern Energy Industry Trusted Data Space in 2024, achieving the trial operation of its core functions. To date, the space has opened more than 160 power-related data resources – including power line parameters – alongside external data resources covering satellite remote sensing, meteorology, and macroeconomics, among others, with over 130 entities using it.
It's collaborated with industry partners to develop over 30 typical scenarios – like new energy consumption forecasting, energy equipment optimization and upgrades and interactive supply-demand for charging stations.
Furthermore, in collaboration with multiple units, CSG is jointly exploring the interconnection of the industry's trusted data space.
